About me

Today I am 49 years. Tomorrow I will be a little older. A few yesterdays ago, I held my six little babies and danced in the kitchen; today two of my babies are far off in distant lands serving and teaching about Jesus. I do have three of my “babies” at home – they are ages 8, 11, and 17 and one nearby in college. My husband and I have had a lot of adventures and we still talk and plan new adventures to have together. I like to read, learn, move my body, help others, and try new things. I think I have mostly embraced that change is constant and I am ok with that. Good things are in the past, present, and future.

I enjoy my work as a Registered Dietitian in the eating disorder field. I get to know the most incredible and beautiful people. I see my greatest strength in my work as not my nutrition knowledge, but instead – my faith. I will always believe there is a way and will hope that you will catch and nurture that hope as well. I often tell people that the three C’s will keep them on the path of recovery: Curiosity, Connection, and Compassion.

It’s hard… and then sometimes there’s a little break and it’s not so bad…and then it’s hard again. The freedom, authenticity, and connection with others as well as yourself are definitely worth it. Keep going.
